Wood pellets

We have been planning and realising wood pelleting systems for over 25 years - as true pioneers in the industry. Our focus is on energy-efficient processes and system technology with maximum availability and durability. Thanks to our experience as operators of our own production plants, we develop tried-and-tested, effective and safe solutions that prove themselves in everyday use.

What defines

FAQ

I have little space available for a wood pelleting system. How much space is required?

That depends on the desired process steps. Our compact modules with up to 3 t/h fit on an area of 5 × 15 m and a height of 7.5 m - including grinding, pelleting and cooling.

Do hardwood pellets have a higher energy density than softwood pellets?

No — as the sawdust is compacted to roughly the same extent for both softwood and hardwood, this does not lead to any significant energy advantage. The quality and homogeneity of the end product remain decisive..

What is the smallest machine in your range?

We focus on industrial solutions. The smallest system starts at 500 kg/h. As a rule of thumb: from 1,000 tonnes/year (dry) or 2,500-3,000 tonnes/year (wet), a system is economically viable.

Do you guarantee that my pellets can be ENplus certified?

In purely technical terms: Yes. However, your raw material is also decisive. We will be happy to analyse it in advance and advise you on its suitability for certification.

Do you have expertise in the production of forest wood pellets?

Yes. Forest wood pellets are often understood to be freshly harvested wood with bark content. We know what is important - from drying to process integration.

Customer reviews

Friedli AG realised a great system concept in a very confined space, which is very low-maintenance and therefore highly available. The heat was supplied via our flue gas condensation system, for which Friedli provided a specific solution right through to the fire protection concept. The collaboration with the Friedli AG team was very pleasant and based on partnership.
B. Gwerder
EBL Energiezentrum Rigi AG
Together with Friedli AG, I was able to support the realisation of our newest and most modern plant in France. Friedli AG not only supported us with a high level of expertise in interface planning, but also with the necessary language skills. I felt I was in good hands with Friedli.
M. Keckeis
EC Bioenergie GmbH & Co. KG
In Friedli AG, we have found a partner who not only supports our projects professionally, but also in a practical manner. Their expertise in plant engineering and clear communication have contributed significantly to the smooth running of the project.
